Some evenings just call you somewhere. This one called me to Titlow Beach in Tacoma, and I made it in the nick of time. As the light faded, this gull planted himself on a piling right in front of me and held my gaze like he was deciding whether I was allowed to be there.
One Evening at Titlow is a bold, bright wildlife portrait in icy blues, with the gull sharp and centered against soft, glowing water and the dark shapes of old pier posts. It brings a playful, modern coastal feel to a kitchen, entryway, kid's room, or beach house.
