I raced the sun for 50 minutes and walked right into a meeting.
After a long workday, I made a last-minute run to Titlow Beach in Tacoma and got there in the nick of time. At the end of the beach, the old pier was packed: a cormorant on nearly every post, drying wings and preening against the evening sky, with one gull standing guard on the pilings below. They couldn't have cared less that I'd made it.
The Cormorant Council captures the weathered timbers of the old Titlow pier and its evening residents in cool blues and soft sunset light. It's full of texture and character, and it makes a great conversation piece for a coastal home, office, or anyone who loves Puget Sound wildlife.
