Descendant Photography

There is a special kind of quiet that arrives when daylight begins to fade. The sky turns violet and rose, the forest becomes a silhouette, and Mount Rainier rests above the water as the last colors of the evening settle across the landscape.

For a brief moment, the fading daylight transforms Mount Rainier into a crown of gold. Warm sunlight spills across the mountain's rugged slopes while the surrounding forest and waterfront settle into shadow. The contrast captures one of the Pacific Northwest's most memorable sights: a familiar mountain made extraordinary by the changing light.
